Saideline was founded by three professional soccer coaches who spent years solving the same problem from three different sides of the game: elite youth development, top-flight women's football, and match analysis. Instead of building soccer coaching software for coaches from the outside, we built it from the inside, combining our own coaching experience with AI to give every coach access to the kind of soccer training session planning normally reserved for professional academies.

The Founders

Steven Turek

Steven Turek began his soccer coaching career at 18, taking over his first team at VfB Peine. From there, his path led through the youth academy of Braunschweiger SC Acosta and seven years at the Hannover 96 youth performance center, where he most recently served as U17 head coach in the B-Junioren-Bundesliga, planning soccer training sessions and soccer practice for elite youth academy players every week. In 2024, Steven took the next step in his career, becoming U19 head coach in the academy of MLS club Atlanta United.

Alongside his coaching work, Steven is a longtime author and speaker for the Institut für Jugendfußball, known for his work on soccer training methodology, game principles and player development. At Saideline, he brings first-hand experience from both the German and North American youth development systems, shaping how the platform's soccer drills and training sessions are built for youth and academy coaches on both sides of the Atlantic.

Jonas Stephan

Jonas Stephan has been head coach of the RB Leipzig women's team since July 2024. His soccer coaching career started in 2009 at VfB Peine and took him through VfV Borussia 06 Hildesheim, the Eintracht Braunschweig youth academy, and Chemnitzer FC, including Eintracht Braunschweig's 2020 promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. In 2022, he returned to Braunschweig's academy as Sporting Director before moving to RB Leipzig in 2024.

Jonas holds the DFB Pro License (the DFB's highest coaching qualification) and a Master's degree in Sports, Health & Performance. Known as a detail-oriented, analytical tactician, he's built his career on rigorous match analysis and soccer coaching methodology, with deep expertise in tactical themes such as high pressing and build-up play. At Saideline, Jonas is the driving force behind how training sessions translate these tactical principles into practical, on-pitch soccer drills.

Jens Luke holds the DFB B+ soccer coaching license and a degree in Sports Science from Philipps-Universität Marburg. He's currently head coach of TSG Wieseck, a cooperation club of Eintracht Frankfurt, where he plans soccer training sessions and soccer practice for a senior team on a weekly basis, and works as a match analyst combining practical coaching experience with data-driven analysis.

Before founding Saideline, Jens spent over three years working at the intersection of soccer and immersive technology, developing VR-based match analysis used by Bundesliga youth academies. That experience, seeing firsthand how much time soccer coaches lose to manual training session planning instead of working with players, is what led him to build Saideline: an AI soccer training software that generates personalized soccer drills and training sessions in seconds instead of hours.
